When Vicky emailed me about scheduling an engagement session, she mentioned two things she really liked. The first was Audubon Park – her and Manish had spent a lot of time there studying together, hanging out, and getting to know each other when they were undergraduate students at Tulane. The second thing she mentioned a she’d love to have in her photos is color. And if you’ve ever been to New Orleans, or even seen photos… you know there’s no shortage of color here!
We chose to shoot in Audubon Park and The Bywater neighborhood here in the city. Audubon Park is a versatile location full lush greenery and old live oaks dripping with Spanish moss. If that’s not enough, there are also some amazing secret spots and corners with awesome tropical vibes. I’ve photographed so many sessions in Audubon Park and have never gotten tired of it because there’s always something new to find.
For our next location, we would jump in the car and head to the other side of the city for the colorful and fun architecture of the Bywater, which really is a cool and quirky neighborhood. (Also has the best pizza ever).
I hope you enjoyed the photos from this colorful engagement session in New Orleans!
Please know that your engagement session can be so much more than some super posied version of you. Being engaged is such a fun season in life – your photos should be fun too and really reflect who you are right now.
