There’s something extra fun about photographing children’s spaces… they carry a youthful sense of imagination, softness, and a quiet wonder. For this interior photography project in Beaumont, Texas, I worked with Heather Howard Home to capture a newly designed children’s bedroom that feels whimsical, warm, and layered with detail.
Rather than treating the session as a checklist of angles, the focus was on visual storytelling. Wide compositions establish the flow and atmosphere of the room, while close-up frames highlight the textures, patterns, and small design moments that give the space its character. From the wallpaper and textiles to the curated styling, every element was photographed with an emphasis on cohesion, light, and mood.
Soft natural light helped shape the images’ overall tone, making the room feel calm, airy, and inviting. The result is a gallery that reflects the intention behind the design — playful without feeling overly themed, and timeless enough to grow alongside the child who inhabits it.
The final image collection provides Heather with a versatile visual library for her website, portfolio, and social media, supporting both storytelling and long-term brand building. Projects like this highlight how interior photography can become a tool for capturing atmosphere, emotion, and design.
