From the moment I talked with Ali on the phone for her initial consultation, I could tell she and Elliott were an awesome couple. They’re the kind of people who cherish quality time and having fun, and when Ali told me they were looking for “lots of candid photos with the hope of looking back on them and feeling the emotion of the moment,” I knew we were a perfect match to work together.

Their wedding day began at their home in Uptown New Orleans, where they got ready and had a private vow reading. Having the chance to photograph a couple at their home on their wedding day isn’t something we get to do very often, so we really enjoyed being there to capture the moments from that part of the day. Plus, those pre-ceremony photos add so much to the visual story – you can feel their excitement and anticipation!

After getting ready we headed to Coliseum Park for family and wedding party photos, and a couple of portraits of just Ali & Elliott before heading to Il Mercato for the ceremony.

Amanda Price Events did an amazing job planning… at this point, I’ve been to a lot of weddings and it’s always an awesome day when everything runs smoothly! Distressed Rental’s gorgeous furniture pieces and Leaf & Petal’s floral arrangements gave the courtyard space very vintage-chic vibes for the cocktail hour and reception. St. James Cheese Company made an actual cheese cake (!!!!) AND they paired it with alllll the delicious accoutrements you’d expect for a top-tier, bomb-ass cheese board. And Creativity kept the music going and everyone on the dance floor ’till the very last song.
